It's partly because of hoarding, but also because I don't think any of the tables in my room are large/sturdy enough to hold a big turtle tank. xP

There's a lot of problems to consider with turtles. XP They need big tanks and they're illegal as pets in the US unless they're bigger than 3 inches, and I think the smallest legal ones would still grow. If there are any that really are that small and legal, they're probably expensive and/or difficult to find. I also don't really feel comfortable buying turtles online.

That's okay, It was actually my little sister's. Plus you're right, her's died in a heat wave in Mexico, which explains why I never had one in US.
