I'm still waiting on most of the voices for Bro Show, so I've been writing my 8000 college essays and working on my top secret EEnE fanmovie thing. And while I'm trying not to post anything spoilery from it on here, I just couldn't resist bragging about MY FIRST TRULY ANIMATED BACKGROUND EVER! : D It's not a movie until the backgrounds get ANIMATED. What little animation-cheats weaseled their way into this are redeemed by the fact that I bothered to color everything with the brush instead of the fill can!

I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF!

I'll probably slow it down and maybe add a few more details in the final product, but right now I like watching everything SPEED BY because my computer makes it move so slow in Flash.

WHAT 8000?! THERE'S NO WAY THAT CAN BE RIGHT! (Apologies if someone else made that joke)

Anywho, it looks very good! The style seems much the same as the original show, I wish you the best of luck!

I'm sorry, can you explain the joke? xD Did I say something about the number 8000? I forgot..

Thank you very much! =D I'm about 50 minutes into the animatic for this movie, so I think we can actually expect this to get done.

...Oh my god. Oh god, it would be hilarious if it was Pulp Fiction. The scene where Christopher Walken talks to that kid about putting a watch up his ass would be hilarious in EEnE form xD I suppose using a whole other movie would be much easier then writing your own and getting a bunch of voice actors together...

XDD That's not the movie I'm using, but mine IS a mature movie and even if it's not a movie you like, I HAVE MOLDED THE PERFECT EENE STORY OUT OF IT so it will be almost its own story. 8D Like.. in the real movie, a lot of characters don't know each other, but now they're EEnE characters, so it changes the impact of their interactions. I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT HOW MUCH PROGRESS I'M MAKINGGG.

Woa, trippin', man. The sky staying still but watching the same post and house go by again and again makes me all dizzy. @_o I am very attracted to the sidewalk, for some reason. And the colors, j'aime les couleurs.

I've edited this a lot since I first uploaded it, but I think I'll keep this version on here to minimize the impact of me giving away a piece of my movie. XP I've since increased the houses to 3 and the trees to 2, added two rows of fences and a bush, and edited the lines in the street so that they're less like scribbles and more like actual road markings.

Hopefully this doesn't post twice just because I decided to go back and add this in at the last second: Most of the colors are taken from a background from 'Boom Boom Out Goes The Ed' on Hyuck's blog. : D Which, oddly, I don't have in my Favorites, so I can't link it to you. XP

The sooner you're done with Bro Show, the sooner I can commission a video of SallY Syrup and Flapjack singing Suddenly Seymour (as a dream sequence of Flapjack, though].

That, or 8 Armed Willy singing Mean Green Mother as he beats up Flapjack. I'm still not sure which one I'm gonna commission [if either].

Those are both great ideas, but OH MY GOD, I WOULD LOVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH 8-ARMED WILLY! I'm really interested in him lately because he doesn't get nearly enough screentime, considering he seems like he'd be the main villain.

I don't think you've ever mentioned to me that you HAVE a forum for Little Shop of Horrors. XD And I've yet to see the full movie, I've only seen the clips of the songs on Youtube. I read about the endings, but I can't remember which was which and which one I liked.. I get the feeling "original" means "unhappy" here, though. XD

Original=unhappy. Little Shop of Horrors (with original ending) is my favorite film ever. EVEEEEEEEER.

BTW, I'm Taco Wiz from the Flapjack forum. You might remember me as the guy that likes Flapjack but can never discuss it because of the lack of interpretive material (from my perspective) in the cartoons. I'm also the guy who almost screamed during the flood in Fancy Pants [that was BY FAR the scariest moment ever in a childrens show, except for Speed Demon in PPG].

Ohhhh! Even knowing you as Taco Wiz, I had no idea you were so into Little Shop of Horrors. AND As awesome as all of 'Speed Demon' was, I will always remember it just for the cheesy music when the PPGs get back to the present at the end. XD

I didn't really start obsessing over Little Shop until July.

Also, Little Shop's "happy ending" involves (DON'T READ UNLESS YOU WANT MILD SPOILERS)

1. A couple plot holes.

2. A homicidal maniac getting what he wanted all along.

3. He gets what he wanted all because of his murders.

4. Some brilliant foreshadows and double-entendres completely ruined. They left the set-up in the film, but not the payoff.

The only murder I'm sure about is that he kills that psychopathic dentist who was abusing the love interest, so that seems excusable, especially because he was being manipulated by the plant (I can think of some names, but at the risk of making errors I'm staying vague). I know his boss gets killed, but if I recall, the plant eats him directly. So I don't think the main character deserves to be punished for killing a bad guy at the hands of the real villain. It's certainly not realistic for it to work out that way, I think there's more payoff in the plant's invasion being stopped than there is in killing the sympathetic main character.

The original Clerks movie had a similar thing where they had a line foreshadowing Dante's death, and they were gonna have it end with Dante getting killed by a robber and left laying on the floor with the implication that the killer is never found. I greeeatly prefer the ending that DID happen with Dante NOT getting killed (especially because him living allowed the animated series and second movie to happen), screw the foreshadowing. XP

A three-lane road? I don't see a lot of those. If I had to recommend anything other than slowing it down some, and more differentiated houses on either side of the road (if you're going for that Hanna-Barbera thing!), I'd see what it might look like if those white stripes just ran straight down the middle of the road, mostly because seeing them converge at that vanishing point just feels odd to me, somehow. It is really neat to see something out of this animation, though. I was asked yesterday how it was coming along, but being just a voice, I can't exactly tell them how far it's progressed!

The shot it's based on (in the movie I'm taking the audio from) had what looked like a three lane road. And 2-lane roads are done to death in cartoons anyway. XP I probably should add some more houses, but houses are annoying to draw and even worse to animate. Maybe I'll put some in sometime, though... I kinda like that there's nothing on the right side just for the sake of differentiation, but maybe I could put in some stores so it's more interesting. I hate "down the middle of the road" cartoon road markings so much, though. I'm gonna be putting cars on this background and nobody in real life drives in the middle of two lanes. XD This isn't Bro Show, so this isn't the project you'd know about anyway, but it's interesting that you were asked about it!
